WSROC - Review of Expanding Complying Development State Policy

SquareLink was engaged by the Western Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils (WSROC) to review and prepare a submission on behalf of their member Councils on the NSW Governments proposal to expand complying development to include medium density housing types.

The Review identified the need to ensure a balanced approach between competing State Government policy aimed at providing essential housing for a growth population, and maximising recycling and resource recovery.

It also highlighted the difficulty in streamlining the delivery of medium density housing within different local government areas with differing waste management practices and operational needs.

This was achieved utilising our extensive knowledge and experience in local government, waste management and planning.
